MEDIUM CLASSROOM

5th Floor of Classroom in downtown Lansing

WHAT’S CLASS LIKE?
The student’s classroom experience is individual to the professor who is teaching the course. For instance, some professors use note cards. They shuffle through them randomly and draw names–for those who will be chosen to recite cases. Others may let you know ahead of time that you will discuss a particular case in the classroom, allowing everyone the opportunity to have that exchange with the professor - and it is an opportunity. Some will use more of a Socratic Method where they just look around the room and call on you. Professors at Cooley want everyone to "get their money’s worth." Some students are more comfortable with this than others, but it really is "how you learn" and how you will become an excellent lawyer. So, in short, be prepared for classes.
