- Cooley Law School was established in 1972 by the school's Founder and
President Emeritus, the Honorable Thomas E. Brennan
- Cooley received American Bar Association approval in 1975
- The law school was created to serve non-traditional as well as traditional
law school students
- Cooley offers a unique year-round schedule with three 15-week
terms, and morning, afternoon, and evening classes
- Students can enter three times per year, and
take day, evening, or weekend classes.
- Cooley terms – Hilary (January), Trinity (May), and
Michaelmas (September) – are named after the terms of
the English Courts
