Prof. Nelson Miller to Speak at Law Review Event
The Thomas M. Cooley Law Review will host The Nobility of the American Lawyer, introducing its upcoming edition of the Law Review on Thursday, Feb. 23, 1-3 p.m. in Room 501, Cooley Center.
Nelson Miller, Assistant Dean of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, will speak on his article, "The Nobility of the American Lawyer: The Ennobling History, Philosophy, and Morality of a Maligned Profession." Dean Miller’s article will appear in an upcoming edition of the Law Review. The Law Review will offer a free copy of the latest edition of the publication at the end of the event.
Dean Miller will discuss the topic of nobility as it relates to the profession of law. He feels that attention is not given to the nobility of lawyers. He further suggests that lawyers often fail to recognize that they are members of a noble profession, and thus fail to recognize the higher calling that is inherent in the profession.
All Cooley students and faculty are invited to attend. For more information on this event or on this year’s upcoming symposium, please contact Sam Bhimani, Symposium Editor, at bhimani5@ameritech.net, or Michael Church, Interim Symposium Editor, at churchm@cooley.edu. |
