Before coming to Cooley, Professor Rousseau served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Plastech Engineered Products, Inc., of Dearborn, Mich., a firm she joined in 1997. At Plastech, she managed the automotive supplier's legal department and staff, worked with outside counsel, participated in significant business acquisitions, divestures, and financial and corporate restructurings, managed the Human Resources Department, and more.

Professor Rousseau served on the Plastech Board of Directors from 1998 to 2004.

Before joining Plastech, Professor Rousseau was a senior litigation attorney in the Ford Motor Company Office of General Counsel 1992-1997.

Professor Rousseau has also served as an associate attorney for the Dykema Gossett law firm in Detroit.

At Cooley, Professor Rousseau teaches Civil Procedure.
