Professor Lowe joined Cooley in February 2006, coming from the Women’s Survival Center of Oakland County in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., where she served as Director of Legal Services.
She supervised the free legal clinics, the pro bono program, staff attorneys and the organization’s personal protection order assistance program. She also spoke to community groups and domestic violence shelter residents about family law issues.
Professor Lowe has also served as a staff attorney, then Associate Director, of Oakland Livingston Legal Aid; as an associate attorney with Dickinson Wright PLLC, in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; and with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, in San Francisco, Calif.
At Cooley, Professor Lowe teaches the Domestic Violence Clinic, Pretrials Skills, and the general practice externship class. She is also developing other clinical programs at Cooley's Auburn Hills campus.
