Professor Clement comes to Cooley from the Research Division of the Michigan Court of Appeals where she was the supervising attorney in the court's Lansing research office. Professor Clement oversaw a staff of 10-12 attorneys who draft research reports for judicial review.

Between graduation and beginning her position at the Court of Appeals, Professor Clement clerked for Justice Stephen Markman of the Michigan Supreme Court.

She also worked in the Legal Research Division of the Michigan Legislative Service Bureau, was a clerk for the Hon. Charles Corwin of Wexford Circuit Court, an adjunct faculty member at Cooley, a research attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals, an intern in Cooley's Sixty Plus, Inc., Elderlaw Clinic, and a faculty research assistant.

Professor Clement was an honors student while at Cooley, making the Dean's List in six of her eight terms of study and the Honor Roll in all eight terms. In addition, she won the Sol Siegel Award and the Corpus Juris Secundum Award, given to the highest ranking student in Contracts.

While a student at Cooley, Professor Clement was an assistant editor of the Law Review and senior research editor of the Law Journal, served as a class director and a student representative, and participated in the American Bar Association/Law Student Division. In addition, she was a graduation marshal and a Cooley Ambassador and was a semifinalist in intra-school moot court competition.
