Professor Beery joined the Cooley faculty in 2003 after working with the school as an adjunct professor in Research & Writing. While a student, Beery won several Book Awards, as well as the West Scholastic Award for being ranked first in his class after the first year of law school. He continued his high academic achievement, winning the James Burns Memorial Award for graduating first in his class. Before joining the Cooley faculty full time, Professor Beery was an Associate Attorney with the Lansing, Mich., firm of Thrun, Maatsch & Nordberg, P.C., Attorneys at Law. He was also a partner in the firm of Mahjoory, Mahjoory & Beery P.L.C., Attorneys at Law. He served as a Prehearing Attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals, 1998-1999. Professor Beery has taught Introduction to Law, Research & Writing, and Advanced Writing. Bibliography
