Regular Admission

Applicants admitted under the regular admission category are eligible to select the schedule option of their choice. See all scheduling options available at Cooley.

Requirements:
Minimum LSAT score of 143 and a minimum Cooley Index of 187
or
A minimum 195 Cooley Index (Honors Scholarship Eligible)
or
A minimum 149 LSAT score (Honors Scholarship Eligible)

Part-Time Admission

Applicants admitted under the part-time admission category are limited to a maximum of 12 credit hours in their first semester of enrollment. Details about the Part-Time (Standard) schedule.

Requirements:
A 190 - 194 Cooley Index (does not have a minimum 143 LSAT)
or
A 146 - 148 LSAT (does not have a minimum 187 Cooley Index)

Part-Time Restricted Admission

Applicants admitted under the part-time restricted admission category are limited to 6 or 9 credit hours in their first semester of enrollment. Details about the Part-Time (Extended) schedule.

Requirements:
A 187 - 189 Cooley Index (does not have a minimum 143 LSAT)
or
A 144 - 145 LSAT (does not have a minimum 187 Cooley Index)

Qualifying Program

For applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for regular admission, part-time admission, or part-time restricted admission, the Admissions Office staff will automatically review and consider the applicant's LSAT writing sample for consideration for Cooley's Professional Exploration Program.

Applicants who are offered admission after completion of the qualifying program are limited to attending classes at the Lansing campus, and taking a maximum of 9 credit hours for the first two semesters. Participation in academic support programs is required.
