Fill out the Race Entry Form [PDF] and DROP OFF at Playmaker's (by Tuesday, June 3, 5:00 pm) or Cooley Law School (by Thursday, June 5, 5:00 pm).

ChampionChip®

The ChampionChip® is a high-tech, easy to use timing device. It can provide accurate net and split times for every individual athlete. If you own one, you can use it all over the world in almost any event that is ChampionChip® timed.

ChampionChips® will be provided by the race and
must be returned after the race or a $30 fee will
be assessed.

If you have your own ChampionChip®, please
indicate the number on the front side of this entry form.

Event Times

6:00 p.m. - Race Day registration/packet pick up on the Capitol lawn

7:30 p.m. - Start of 5K Walk/Run in front of the Capitol

8:15 p.m. - Children's Race Around the Capitol (approximately 1/2 mile)

8:25 p.m. - Kids' Capitol Dash (approximately 100 yards)

8:30 p.m. - Award ceremony will follow the children's races

(We recommend that you use the city ramps for parking.)

Fun and Entertainment

Meet Frazz creator and noted triathlete, runner Jef Mallett at the Cooley 5K Race for Education. Signed books will be awarded in a random drawing of race participants, so join us in the fun! Read about Jef Mallett and his cartoon character Frazz.

The Uptown Band will provide the musical entertainment.

Support Local Schools

Every PAID entrant will be put into a drawing to win $1,000 (if present for the award) or $500 (if not present) which Cooley will donate to the educational institution named on the drawing entrant’s race entry form. (Please be sure to indicate on the entry form the name of the local educational institution that you would like to enter into the drawing(s) to win awards. If no name is indicated, another entry will be drawn).

Race Proceeds

Following the Cooley award drawing, we will draw the names of race entrants and distribute the race proceeds to the educational institution named on the entrant's race entry form according to the following formula:

First drawing winner: 50% of the proceeds
Second drawing winner: 25% of the proceeds
Third drawing winner: 10% of the proceeds
Fourth drawing winner: 10% of the proceeds
Fifth drawing winner: 5% of the proceeds

Checks will be sent directly to each of the winning educational institutions after the final accounting. Allow four weeks for receipt.
