Cooley Law School's Grand Rapids Enrollment Grows by 26 Percent
The Thomas M. Cooley Law School announced today that fall enrollment at its Grand Rapids campus has increased by 115 students, or 26 percent, over enrollment in the fall of 2007. The total enrollment at Cooley’s Grand Rapids campus is now 560 students.
“Our Grand Rapids campus is experiencing tremendous growth,” said Nelson Miller, associate dean of Cooley’s Grand Rapids campus. “The quality, hands-on legal education that we provide here combined with our vibrant downtown attracts many individuals from outside of Michigan to study in Grand Rapids. Add in the many West Michigan residents who are able to earn a law degree close to home, and we have a situation in which enrollment continues to grow.”
Cooley is currently enrolling students in its January, May and September classes. Students can begin their studies at Cooley’s Grand Rapids in January (weekend-only and afternoon programs), May (evening program) and September (daytime program).
Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, Cooley Law School is the largest law school in the country. Founded in 1972, it operates J.D. programs across Michigan in downtown Lansing, in Auburn Hills, and in downtown Grand Rapids. Today, Cooley Law School has more than 12,000 graduates across the nation and worldwide and also offers joint degree and Master of Laws programs. Cooley offers enrollment three times a year; in January, May and September. Additional information about Cooley can be found at www.cooley.edu.
